Timothy Nater founded Swiss communications company CrossLake in 2006. He has worked in communications since the start of his career, first as a staff foreign correspondent for Newsweek magazine, reporting from Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. After that, Tim was public information director for the world business organization ICC in Paris, and subsequently media relations adviser to the European Commission.
Tim then became secretary-general of an international trade association of healthcare payer organizations, and, after that, executive director of Health On the Net Foundation, based in Geneva, Switzerland. Before founding CrossLake, Tim was project director and editor of Gastro-Pro, a learning website for gastroenterologists.
In addition to his native English, Tim speaks fluent German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. He holds a BA honours degree in English from Amherst College, USA, and an MBA from Ashridge Management College in Britain.
